Week 3: The Future Of Journalism Is (Not) Blogging

Nine months ago I wrote a short opinion piece for the¬†cultural e-journal Daft Blogger called ‘The Future Of Journalism Is (Not) Blogging‘.¬†

After Nikki’s guest lecture in week 2, I decided to revisit my piece to see if my opinions had changed at all. For the most part, they haven’t.

Don’t get me wrong though, it is absolutely awesome that Nikki has made ‘blogging her business’, but what about the thousands of others?

Call me a pessimist, but you only really need to look at the research.

Week 2: Reflections on Twitterng

Greetings wordpress,

My name is Alessia. I’m a 21 year old journalism student studying KJB222 (Online Journalism) at QUT. It’s my 7th last subject, which is both exciting and kind of why i’m here really. You’re not new to me. In fact I write another wordpress blog for a freight marketplace called TruckIt.net. You can check that out here.

But that’s enough about wordpress and me, this week I want to talk about twitter and me. I’ve been using this twitter account since December 15 2010 and it’s been a pretty interesting ride.
